No more Bink-Milk

As long as Silas has been holding his own milk, he has gone to bed with a binky and a milk. Since he began talking, it has been refered to as bink-milk. But lately, he had been biting his bink and it was getting a hole, no longer safe for him because he might choke on a piece of it. Also, he pointed out to us, "Bink broken, Dad fix, Dad fix!" So we told him we couldn't fix it and asked if he wanted to throw it in the garbage. He said yeah and he went to the kitchen and threw it away. We then gave him some Elmo slippers we had just bought at Kid to Kid and told him that he now got to have Milk-Slippers every night to go to bed. He was so excited and didn't even cry at all for loss of his bink. Since then, it has gone well, however, we have lost a little bit of sleep because he doesn't know how to get himself back to sleep without his binky so he's been waking up about 5 or 6 a.m. and after only an hour or so of nap. Whew! I thought we would never get that bink away from him, so I can do with a little sleep interuption for now.

Enjoy the pics, we can't seem to put the camera away!

Logan's Blessing

I forgot to put these pictures on the last post. Tyrel blessed Logan on July 5, in our ward. It was fun to have his family and my family together for the 4th of July weekend. After the blessing, we went to my parent's house for a lunch.

July Happenings

This is a really long post because...well...on my to-do list, blogging rarely seems to make its way to the top when I find a spare moment to get something done. So this is our July in brief:

MY TWO LITTLE ANGELS: Logan is one month old now, well almost 6 weeks actually, but one month in this picture. He eats like a little piggy which keeps me plenty busy. At his 1 month appointment he weighed 10 lbs 11 oz and was in the 75th percentile! It is funny for us to see rolls on our baby because Silas was always so little, nevertheless, I still find myself calling Logan Silas at times. Silas LOVES summer. His favorites are #1 popsicles (popashoos) which he could eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner #2 Swimming in the pool with Daddy and #3 Baby Brother Gonan. He is always so concerned about him and if he is crying, Silas will race to him to put his binky in his mouth or say things like, "It's okay baby. Don't cry baby!" I can tell they are going to be best buds.

HOORAY I'M NOT PREGNANT: I am so enjoying not being pregnant. So far I have gone to play volleyball and softball, and slept on my stomach almost every night! I played in a stake softball tournament with my sisters and had so much fun, we even made shirts like in high school.

SWIMMIN' POOL: Whenever I tell Silas we are going to the swimming pool, he goes and gets ready. In this picture, he tried to put his Nemo swim diaper on but forgot to take his shorts off first and put both legs sideways through the hole. We got him this vest that allows him to float on his own and he loves swimming now. He will kick his legs and move his arms to get from one end of the pool to the other without help. In the video he jumps into Tyrel's arms, as of last night, he will just jump into the pool without being caught by anyone. We love having a pool here!!!

RIDING THE BULL: Janet and Ray invited us to Howell, UT for their founder's day and we had a blast. Silas was having a little baby envy and decided he needed to be in the baby carseat for a little while. Tyrel and Silas both rode the bull and needless to say, Silas is a natural. He didn't even get scared at all. That was the highlight of my week! And Logan sitting on Tyrel's lap also looks like he is riding the bull.

OUR NEW FURNITURE: We now have one piece of NEW furniture in our home. Everything else is second hand or was given to us (not complaining by-the-way). But I'm really excited about our new computer armoir (sp?) We decided that we were tired of telling Silas to stay out of the computer and stop touching the cords and plugging things in and changing the CD's and so on. So we got this and put a child lock on it. Now I just need to find some picture frames to put on top. Oh, and Silas had fun making a Silas Sandwich out of the box.

Finally a Free Second

Okay, I'll do this fast while Silas is watching Melmo and Logan is sleeping.

When we came home from the hospital, we gave Silas a cuddle and care Elmo that he can take care of. It has a binky, a diaper, and a blanket. So far he just likes to eat Elmo's binky.

We're Home

Yesterday we got to go home and boy was I glad. I had a really easy and fast labor...only 6 hours and I was so drugged I didn't feel anything, in fact, I felt like sleeping and could hardly keep my eyes open. I didn't get much sleep at the hospital though, and it was nice to just be in our home and have our little Si-bug back with us, we missed him! Thanks Grammy, Teebo, Aunt Izzy, and Aunt Styphe for watching him! Silas just loves his baby brother. Everytime he wakes up or walks into the room and sees him he gets all excited and says, "Baby brother! Hold, hold!" He likes to hold him for a few seconds, or to lay with him when he is on the love sac. When we were saying prayers last night, we asked Silas whose turn it was, he said, "Baby Brother!" It has been rough trying to keep Silas out of things, he is definitely pushing our buttons with not listening, but it will get better. Logan is doing great, he likes to eat a lot and all the time and he doesn't care for sleeping at night...what a surpise! We love our little boys though and I'm so grateful for Tyrel, he has been such a BIG help taking care of me and our boys. I'll miss him when he goes back to work tomorrow!

Our Baby is Here!

We are now WE FOUR KINGS. Logan Carwood King was born today at 1:50 weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. and 20 inches long. He seems so big to us because Silas was 5 lbs. 9 oz. We are both doing great and I will put more details about the labor and stuff tomorrow. For now enjoy the pics.
