Ever since the movie, "Rio" came out, we've been a little obsessed with it at our house! So naturally we were characters from Rio for Halloween. Tyrel was Tulio, the nerdy bird doctor, I was Linda, the nerdy owner of Blu, Silas was Blu, the bird who is learning to fly, and Logan was the mean monkey who steals all of the tourist's jewelry. If you haven't seen the movie...you should! It's one of our favorites!
Posing at the Ward Halloween Carnival
Silas' intense game of golf
There are few things I have ever seen that were funnier than watching my boys try to eat donuts off a string!!!
This Halloween season, we've had a ghost haunting our hallway. After we put the boys to bed, we hear noises, then we come out to see this little ghost just sitting right in front of our bedroom door. So the ghostbusters just kindly scoop him up and put him in the ghost crib for the night.
Preschool Halloween party
For "Mommy Preschool" we did some pumpkin science. The boys had to observe the outside of a white and orange pumpkin, then they drew what it looked like and guessed what was inside. We then cut them open. These were some observations: The orange one looks like mango and smells like "ik" and "yuk"! The white one was green and smells like cantaloupe. Then they explored the goo inside (Silas not so much). And after much washing of the slime, we counted the seeds in the orange pumpkin...there were 474!!!
Halloween day was a nightmare up until trick-or-treating time, but then it turned fun and memorable! I sure love these little Brazillian creatures!
We also went trick-or-treating at Daddy's work and got to hang out with Grayson and Janet for a little bit.
Such a fun Halloween, and such a relief to move on with November now!
