Shopping Trip

So I went to Smith's last night and bought all of this.  Things I would never buy because they are too expensive or because the generic brand is just cheaper!  So when she totalled it up it was about $220.  Then the computer started knocking down the total as it registered the sales and STACK of coupons.  My final total....

$83.17...Yaya!
We now have about a year's supply of toothpaste that cost $7.00

Do I Look Like a Nutcase?

So for some reason, our toilet is possessed. We had a problem where the tank wouldn't refill itself and the water wouldn't turn off.  Our landlord has come over several times to try and fix it, replaced parts.  Eventually a plumber put in a new toilet...still the same problem.  So today, my downstairs neighbor knocks on my door (I am sitting at the table coloring with my boys) and he asks me if I have left the tub on and if our bathtub is overflowing because he can hear it downstairs.  I tell him, "No it's still our toilet."  I tell him this because this is not the first time he has asked me if my bathtub is overflowing.  He has come over before asking that, and has called my landlord asking him as well.  So what I want to know is, "Do I look like a nutcase who would just sit around and let my bathtub overflow all day long, multiple times?!"

Our 10K Race

A few weeks ago, Tyrel and I ran a 10K that we had been training for.  It was down the canyon in Provo.  To make a long story short, the organization of the race was an absoluet JOKE!  But we all had fun making jokes about it the whole time.  We ended up running faster than we planned...yay for downhill!  And we ended up running at the same pace so we ran together and crossed the finish line together...it was FUN!  For now, we are taking a break from running because it is just TOO HOT!

Silas took this pic

This is us being "way excited" about our sweet prizes for winning 9th in men and 10th in women.  If you are wondering what they are, it's a matted picture of the "Guardian of the River" for the place we ran.  We'll see if those will be worked into the decorating scheme!

Birthday Boys!

Finally som pics from the boys' b-days!  Can you believe that I have a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old!?  Me neither!  We just couldn't seem to get enough celebrating in.
On Silas' actually b-day, we decorated the front room and made him a birthday hat, and he opened his present from us.  That evening, we went bowling with my family, and came back for cake and ice cream.

In between their birthdays and after Labor Day, we had a friends' birthday party outside.  It was so much fun, but sadly, I can't find any pictures of it on my camera.  Luckily there were about 3 other people taking pics. so I'll post those later.  After the party we had decided we'd had enough birthdaying and that we weren't going to do anthing for Logan's b-day. But on that day, we decided to do a cake at Mom's (let's be honest, we all wanted to eat some more cake!) And we couldn't find any birthday candles, so we did what we could!

I did manage to find a picture of the cupcakes from the friend party.  We had a "fishing" theme.  I have decided that I love decorating cupcakes, but could benefit from taking th Wilton courses!  Some time maybe...

This is the boys playing with Silas' new swords.  Thanks Grammy and Fam!

My New Addiction

So my lovely sister-in-law Janet introduced me to my new addiction--COUPONING!  She invited me to a couponing class where I learned how to hard core use coupons and save TONS of money!  On my first trip to Target, my total was $25, after I gave my coupons my total was $5!  And that was with them being out of half the things I had coupons for.  It takes a little time, but it feels kinda like a game, (I know it may sound lame) but I LOVE it!  I love coming home from the store and telling Tyrel how much I just saved.  So if anyone is interested in learning how, these are the two websites I use:

A big shout out to the wonderful ladies who do all the work and tell me how and where to find the deals!

Fabulessly Frugal (I like this one best because it's cute and organized) http://www.fabulesslyfrugal.blogspot.com/
