Some Other Fun Pictures

What are we up to?

This semester, I needed to take 3 more credits of anything, so Tyrel and I are taking a social dance class together. It is so much fun! The first half of the semester we learned Fox Trot and Swing, today we started on Waltz and Cha Cha. At the end of the semester, we have to enter a dance competition which should be interesting and fun. So if any of you are getting married and having a dance at your reception, we'll be ready!

We try to get away for the weekend when we can. We have been to Moore, ID to visit the King Family a few times this semester. It's fun to just play on the farm. We are breaking Silas in to the 4-wheeling and tractors, and he just can't get enough of Grandma's dogs!
We'll be visiting the Vargas Family in a few weeks to see Izzy who will be home from her mission! We will also be going with them to Montana which we are looking forward to. And then...GRADUATION! We are trying not to count down the days, but it's hard when we are so close.

Silas's First Birthday

On May 22, 2008 we celebrated Silas' first birthday! I can't believe we have a one-year-old! I didn't realize that birthdays are sentimental for the parents. It was fun to reflect back over the past year and how much Silas has grown and kept us busy! He now weighs 19 1/2 pounds and is 28 inches long. Just a little guy, in the 5th percentile, but that doesn't stop him! He is walking everywhere and mimicking everything we do, as well as babbling all the time. He has become quite a Daddy's boy and is very sad whenever Daddy goes to work. He will sit at the door and pound on it waiting for Tyrel to come home. Or if he goes into another room and closes the door, Silas will peek through the crack under the door and stick his hands through to try and get him.

For his party we put up streamers and Tyrel graciously blew up the balloons. Everytime Silas would enter the room and see them he would say, "Dit dit dit", and point to the decorations. He got a 4-wheeler that moves when you push the red button. Right now he is a little timid about riding it and doesn't quite understand that pushing the button makes it go. So for now, he just stores all of his treasures inside of it! Thanks to everyone for all of the fun toys and clothes! It is nice to put away the old toys and get some new ones out, I think he and we were both sick of the old toys.
