Our Play Day

Okay so I am finally catching up on all the posts of the past two weeks so that's why there're so many of them. We decided that we would make the day after graduation our play day. We didn't do any cleaning or packing, just playing. First we had a COUPLE'S PAINTBALL WAR! Tyrel's brother Darian and his wife Cassie came and our friends, Katie and Eric Isaacson. First we played each couple was a team. Then we played "Attack and Defen" where the girls put the flag on a certain pine tree then hid closeby in the bushes and trees. The boys then came along and tried to capture the flag while we defended it. If we saw them, they got shot. The girls won that round, killing the guys one by one. The last game we played was "attack and defend" in reverse. This time the guys hid near the flag and the girls tried to capture it. We girls decided to just march straight through the middle in a line towards the flag. We did and we lost Katie who was our brave leader of the line. The Cassie and I crawled through the tall grass until we were a few feet from the flag. We decided we were close enough to go for it and we ran for the flag and got it! Tyrel said that I was a little Sniper that day so that is why there is a picture of me in the grass being a Sniper.

Next Tyrel and Darian went golfing (sorry no pics). While they were gone, Silas, my mom and I went to the Splash Park and then Silas rode the carousel a couple of times. He loved it this time and didn't cry at all. Then he played in the park.

Then we went to Beaver Dick Park and had foil dinners and s'mores with the Isaacson's and the Harris'. Silas loved to play in the dirt, eat the dirt, and eat the rocks. Oh and he loves to eat Kate to. She is one of his girlfriends.

To finish our day, Tyrel and I went to the movies to see "Get Smart". We tried to get into "Dark Night" but it was sold out. It was a fun day but we were exhausted by the end of it.

GRADUATION!!!

Well we thought that it would never come but it finally came and went! Graduation was a happy day and it was great to have our family there to support us. We all went out to eat at Craigo's Pizza before graduation.

Tyrel informed me that this is not a sad face, it is the face of a model.

After Craigo's, we all crammed into our apartment and chilled for a little bit while Silas provided the entertainment.

Our friend's sister made a baby graduation robe for her son and she lent it to us. Then I made a construction paper hat for Silas. Because let's be honest, Silas earned a graduation just as much as we did! What a great little guy he is!

Family Pictures

My friend Brendi who is in our ward loves to take pictures and she takes great ones! She was looking for people she could practice on and I was looking for someone to take some family pictures of us so it worked out great! These are just a few of the many cute pictures she took.

Our Dancing Weekend

This last weekend for our dance class, we had a few events to go to. In the morning on Saturday we were in a dance competition where we did triple swing. We were excited that we didn't get eliminated in the first round! It was actually pretty fun to watch the other couples compete too. In the evening, we went to a the Social Dance Formal. My sisters were in town for the day so they helped me do my hair and they went with us. It was fun to have them there. Tyrel and I had a lot of fun being able to just dance using what we had learned in our class. And later that evening our group from class performed. We were to come up with a swing routine to the song, "Jailhouse Rock". The guys were the jailbirds, and the girls were the wardens. It turned out great and we had so much fun doing it! I tried to put a video on but it didn't work--sorry. I'm really glad we got to take this class together, it was one of my highlights of college. Oh and just a random side note, GRADUATION IS IN 2 DAYS!!! (But who's counting?)

Home to Montana Part II

Well I'll have to say that this trip wasn't as fun as the last one! We had several setbacks just on the drive there, and a few more while in Montana. For starters, when we were just about to leave, my Pa found out that the AC in their car broke so we had to move everything into the truck and take it instead. Then, when we were in Ennis, Pa's anti-freeze was leaking really bad! He filled it and we made it to Bozeman to fill up where Pa's truck got backed into by a trailer carrying a boat! DRAMA! DRAMA! Needless to say, we hung out at the gas station for a while. Then we were about an hour away and Silas threw up (I'll spare you the details on that one). But we made it safely to Montana, had some pizza, and cleaned out the car.

Silas liked playing with Uncle Jon's motorcycle.

We went out to breakfast at the Flying J Travel Plaza. Later most of us wished we hadn't! On Saturday everyone but my mom, Silas, and I were sick either from food poisoning or the stomach flu.

We had a good time at Rachel and Victor's wedding, and Izzy and Steph looked so beautiful in their bridesmaid's outfits!

I wasn't sure if Silas would like the fireworks or not, but he loved them! They let off a firework right at the end of the ceremony when they were kissing (very romantic) and afterward, Silas kept pointing into the sky and saying, "dt dt dt!" He had to wait until later to see the rest of the show.

Silas sure loves his Aunt Chelsy!

I'm glad to say the the drive home was much better. Silas slept until Bozeman and then he had Aunt Izzy entertain him for the rest of the trip. It is nice to be back home, but a little overwhelming thinking of what has to get done in the next two weeks!

Intermission

I guess you could call these few days that we are home intermission. We've tried to fill it with fun things, especially because we are just running out of motivation for school! Izzy came back with us and we have had fun hanging out, she as also been catching up with old friends who live here. Today we went to the Splash Park and it was so much fun! Silas doesn't really like getting splashed in the face, but he takes it because he loves playing in the water. He even went down the slide several times.

Everytime we go to Porter Park, Silas sees the carousel going and loves to watch it. So finally today I let him ride it. He liked sitting on it for a little bit but then he got scared and I had to pick him up. I decide to climb on the horse with him but as I was getting on, that is when the horse was moving up, I bet it was really funny to watch!

Home to Montana Part I

It's been a year since I've been to Montana to see all my friends and family and we made our first trip this last weekend. We went to hear my sister Izzy give her mission report in our old ward. It was so much fun and crazy to see how big all of the kids have gotten! Silas was really good on the car ride which was VERY nice and I had a good time chatting with my sisters. We went swimming at Rose Park on Saturday and Silas absolutely loved it!

He is a little fish and was just splashing away in the water. While we swam, Tyrel and my brother went to a paintball war. We had to go back to Rexburg for a few days for class and work but we are leaving again tomorrow to go to Rachel's wedding--hopefully Silas has a great car ride again!
